Not one of my best ideas :)

First of all it's difficult to find any manuals or useful data on the subject. It seems that others had difficulty communicating with him. There are a few tiny DIP switches that you need to set between uploading to the UNO part and the ESP part, which require different baud rates. The search for suitable libraries is also difficult. There are a large number of "example" sketches, none of which actually work, including Arduino's own libraries, and while this requires a firmware update, it's…

Look for the CH340G USB chip. Make sure your computer supports this.

I didn't want to give this board a bad review because I really don't know if it works. I didn't realize that the CH340G USB chip might not be recognized by my 2012 Mac or Chromebook. I've tried different USB drivers on the Mac, but couldn't get any Arduino software to recognize them. I also ordered a KEYESTUDIO Leonardo R3 board which immediately showed up as a USB device on my Mac and Chromebook. Again, I don't mean there's a problem with this board; Just confirm your computer supports CH340G…

Resold Returning computer components

Looks like someone previously bought the exact device I received and returned it. How do I know? Because you can see that someone uploaded the popular "flashing" sketch (one second on/off "L" LED). Somehow they screwed up with the device, called it bad and returned it with a refund. I highly doubt that HiLetGo will ship the device with the thumbnail already loaded. Either way poor quality control. I don't expect to buy another device because of this. Very cool concept of two useful circuits on…
