Great unit but RTD only

This is RTD only so I bought it. This is a good device as you can connect a 4 wire RTD to it giving you the best accuracy you can get from an RTD. Great unit! I advise!

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I will add later

Works the same as the Adafruit version

Bought two, they worked exactly as advertised (and matched the much more expensive Adafruit model exactly). The resistance/temperature readings were very stable. I used it with a Particle Photon microcontroller. I want to buy more but they are sold out now!

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Defective circuit board on sensors and temperature sensors

The device was operational. I played around with this for about an hour to make sure it connected properly to my Arduino. Visually inspecting the components and solder joints, I noticed that the "FB1" ferrite bead on the side that connects to the MAX31865 was unsoldered. VDD performance. After soldering the connection, the board worked.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Upgradable

Broken board best suited for temperature and humidity measurement

The device was ready to use. I played around with this for about an hour to make sure it connected properly to my Arduino. Visually inspecting the components and solder joints, I noticed that the "FB1" ferrite bead on the side that connects to the MAX31865 was unsoldered. VDD performance. After soldering the connection, the board worked.

Pros
  • Strength: Compensation of 3 or 4-wire RTDs for improved accuracy
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

This item is not a thermocouple sensor amplifier

I bought this unit and I need a thermocouple sensor amplifier. This device does not look like a thermocouple amplifier but more like an RTD PT100 "amplifier". I still haven't seen the details of whether it's an RTD with an alpha of 0.00385 or 0.00392. Ignore the post title and read the details more carefully than I did.

Pros
  • Feature: Can be used with any Arduino or microcontroller
Cons
  • Socket required

Great RTD interface. A replica of the Adafruit version.

Instructions would be nice but this is basically an Adafruit MAX31865 RTD module. Instructions can be found on the Adafruit website. Otherwise, this module provides a convenient and simplified interface for PT100/PT1000 RTDs. The output is very precise and consistent. It's "nice" to have a redesigned module that can handle more than one RTD, and revised code with flexibility to initialize multiple classes for multiple RTDs.

Pros
  • Feature: Can be used with any 2, 3 or 4 wire PT100 RTD
Cons
  • Not sure
