I ended up just throwing it away. The springs holding the plate are less like springs and more like spring wire. Moves out but doesn't come back. I had to stretch it a few inches to wrap it around the panel and then try to put it back together to make it fit. I accomplished this feat, but if I tried to hang it, the weight of the cymbal would stretch it backwards, so the cymbal would just fall forward and out.

These little things are SUPER! I hung antique tiles and a small decorative plate on my "gallery wall" to mix up paintings/photos. These hangers are very strong and will hold firmly to the tile + slab but will not be damaged as the hooks are covered with plastic. The springs are very tight so make sure you buy the right side (you can get the larger side wrong if you fall in between) but as a result I'm very confident of holding my fragile slabs + tiles. Would buy again

Disappointed with this product. Although it has a shiny gold finish that goes great with my gold rimmed decorative plate, it barely matches. It should hold up to 8 inch records. My plate is 7" and I had to pull hard on the springs to get it to fit. I was afraid I would break the plate which is a rare antique memento from the 1964 New York World's Fair given to me by a deceased relative It appears to be securely attached to the wall. I hope it stays that way.

Note a tiny nail is included so don't lose it like I almost did. Nowhere on the product page is the tiny nail mentioned, only the plate hanger itself. I've never used one of these but wanted to hang a new plate that a friend gave me. These things are difficult to stretch, especially for fear of rebounding or even breaking the pelvis itself, but I managed! Twice!
