They look great and add class to simple hanging items. I had earthenware to hang on a leather cord in our dining room. It worked great and looks way better than a nail!

Ideal for hanging light objects. We used them for our stockings as we don't have a chimney. Doesn't leave a big hole in the wall. The hook is a bit small and not very "round" (moves in a V shape), so some items may be difficult to hang.

My office has a "don't hang anything on the walls" rule. However, my office desk was equipped with a fabric-covered pin board under the cupboard. I've used them to hang relatively light (but glass covered) paintings and even 6-8 inch round clocks. Hanging items can be a little tricky (like hanging something on the wall with a nail) but once it's done they seem to stay securely in place. My walls aren't much but my desk is the bomb now!
