A Star Screw that Fails

After I put it to the test, this screw stripped easily and couldn't hold up to the pressure. The only positive thing about it is that it's easy to find at the hardware store. Unfortunately, that's not enough to save this unreliable screw.

Excellent screws

Excellent screws. Not a single broken head when using two boxes. Very satisfied. This is my 4th or 5th box and they are way better than the ones I buy in the big stores. I will use them whenever I can.

Screws are OK, good value for money but transport packaging not very good

Bought a box of 1200 3" screws. Purchased from Ron's Home & Hardware. The plastic storage case was completely cracked from top to bottom making the storage case unusable. These PowerPro (Hillman) screws are not easy to tighten. like (more expensive) Type 17 pointed screws and they don't have as much shear strength as more expensive screws, but they are good enough for most framing work in raw and pressure treated wood.
