2 1/2 pounds less food for the same food as 17.5 pounds

We bought 17.5 pound bags of this food until our last order when Hill's stopped selling, the picture on the Bag changed and the weight of the bag reduced meal by 2 1/2 pounds, but it charges the same amount of money as if you bought a 17.5 pound bag. The food is exactly the same. It's definitely not nice to treat their loyal customers. Because of this insidious, dishonest action by Hill's, we are going to wean our dog off of the Hills special food.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Great price

Buyer Beware Good for Food

Buyer BEWARE. Something is wrong with this food. My dog a 14 year old Yorkshire in excellent health has used this brand for years but purchased this bag from Revain and has had urinary tract infections since using this particular bag. I stopped eating as soon as she started showing symptoms and found it weird. She was treated with antibiotics and I changed her diet. I thought we would try again because she loves it so much but suddenly Ooti started again. I wonder if this bag contains bacteria.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not sure

Think twice before ordering dog food here.

Dog food arrived on time. However, after feeding it to our dog for a few days, I noticed hundreds of super tiny little brown bugs crawling around in the dog food bowl. We called the exterminator thinking we had something at home. He told us this often happens when dog food has been stored for a long time: Tiny bug eggs get into the dog food, remain dormant in a bag, and then hatch when moved or exposed to air. /bright. We have been feeding our dog the same food for 16 years and this is the…

Wrong food… for dogs

My dog has been eating this food for several years without any problems. I got it from the vet clinic I worked at, but when I got back to school I started shopping at Revain. The first batch was ok. That past bag made her vomit. I thought it was the carrot she was eating, so I didn't. She was still throwing up. My girlfriend sat with her for a week and I forgot her food so my dog ate my friends dog food just fine. I brought her home today and she's throwing up all her dinner...she's also been…

Tasty, healthy dog food. Possibly not enough healthy fats.

My two older dogs love this food. Both appear to meet their nutritional needs as they remain very active and full. Energy. My only concern is whether it will provide enough healthy fats to improve skin and coat health. My boston terrier's skin seems to be a bit drier after 6 weeks on this new diet and the expense doesn't have the same shine and shine. I'm going to add some salmon oil to his diet, which I'm fine with, but I'm wondering if he's still missing something that isn't obvious. Still…

My dog loves it! - Dogs

I bought this because my dog's regular food is nowhere to be found. This should be a good brand and was recommended by my vet. I like the small size so my dog can easily eat it. Every day I add a little more to his usual food to gradually change the food. He will choose them and eat them first! They must be delicious! The only thing I didn't like was that they were sent just like that. It wasn't in a box or any other bag or anything. It was on the floor in front of my door. Luckily no other…

Good choice - 4 dogs agree!

I have 4 dogs, 3 of them are over 10 years old. The food smells like human food and the small pieces make eating easier. We switched from another high-protein brand after one of our older dogs suffered a stroke, and we looked at types of "elderly longevity." Since switching to SD, all of our dogs have become more alert and focused, and their coats have softened. I have to say that our walks have improved on my part. because their poop doesn't stink anymore! I never thought foods could do this…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Long delivery

I have two yellow labs both about 11 years old, young now . They have always been active dogs, swimming, running, chasing tennis balls etc and they have 5 acres of land to roam the pond and miles of forest trails, a true canine paradise. Last year I noticed a change in their behavior and appearance, not to mention they didn't look like puppies anymore. They had little interest in long walks or spending time outdoors. I work from home so these two are with me in my shop and office all day and…

My Maltese is 9 years old, he is already 7 years old (rescued from a shelter when he was 2 years old). He has always been healthy except that his vet has been telling us for the last several years that his liver enzymes are starting to rise. The trend continued last year when enzyme levels were high enough to be of serious concern and the vet started talking to us about corrective actions (medication, prescription food that would cost $70 a pack, and possibly future surgeries if the situation…
