"Do not buy from this person "

I ordered this for my MacBook with assurances that it would "work for all Macbooks" only to find out that when I received the drive it wasn't to any fits my ports. So I tried to return the disc and got an email from this person saying they are sorry you ordered the wrong disc but I do not accept returns. After about two emails I contacted this guy and let Revane know and they sorted it out for me. Was able to return the disc and get my money back. Thanks Revin And fuck you boy I have never had…

Apple brand, works great

Ordered February 28, 2012, received March 1, 2012. non-static bag. My older 5+ year old 15" SuperDrive MacBook Pro wasn't working. I gave it to a friend but I wanted it to be "complete" and I found and tried this ATAPI SuperDrive here. .This is one Branded by Apple and although it has a production date of March 2008 it looks like new/never installed. No scratches, no mounting marks from screws or brackets.I've opened up several of these MacBooks recently and even swapped the logic circuit board…

Great drive for my Dell M1330

I decided to order this brand new LG to replace the lousy Matshita UJ-857G in my favorite Dell XPS M1330 laptop after hearing many horror stories from other Matshita owners drives, especially slot loaders. This LG is one of the official drives for my laptop along with Matshita. At the time of the replacement, the Matshita still works perfectly, despite being finicky with various media brands. Matshita drives are very famous for this and we all know it. They arrived at my hotel on time during my

Product quality is very poor

I bought this disc because the ratings were pretty high. When I got my disk it didn't work. I spent a lot of time taking my computer apart and plugging in this drive. When I told the store the disc didn't work, they said that this guy usually has problems and I should buy a Panasonic from them. They also wanted me to sign this contract stating that if I return an item and the box I sent it in has external damage, they will not give me a refund. I didn't sign it. They eventually refunded me but…

Not like the picture. Not exactly functional

Delivery was as expected, packed quickly and securely. However, the drive was not labeled as an Apple drive as shown in the photos. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that this is a cheap fake and not the original quality. The drive fit my laptop (MacBook White, Mid 2007) and played CD/DVD. BUT, no discs are ejected. The biggest disappointment. Nothing will fix it. I decided to order from another site as opening up the computer and removing the entire keyboard assembly wasn't something I…

Great little ride!

I got this to replace the CDRW/DVDROM combo drive in my Macbook (I liked the idea of not being able to burn a DVD). It fits and works perfectly, just as advertised. A word of caution for those looking to replace the optical drive in their Macbook: while a fairly simple "surgical procedure," this project is not for the non-technical. To protect your sanity (as well as your Macbook), it's best to follow the instructions I used that a kind soul posted on this site---[.]

Made two tries but worked fine

I bought this device from PowerOptical. The first device delivered was compatible with Apple (LG brand) but not Apple branded as stated in the product description. I bought a unit to connect to a friend's aluminum iMac to replace a broken unit with no warranty. Due to time constraints, I decided to use the device supplied, although technically it did not meet the specifications. There was an error. Device error in disc record and eject area. I called PowerOptical and we decided that I would buy
