Hitachi IGC0012 Ignition Coil Review

When I tried this automotive ignition part, I was thoroughly disappointed. The performance was subpar and did not deliver as promised. The only positive thing I can say is that it was easy to install. However, that does not make up for the fact that it failed so quickly. Save your money and invest in a better quality replacement part.

I had to purchase this ignition coil to replace the ignition coil that was misfiring in my 1995 Nissan Maxima, not only does it work great but avoids trouble codes by being an OEM part any aftermarket brand.

These are original 1999 Maxima coils and installing them immediately eliminated the Service Center Coming Soon indicator (after clearing codes with a scan tool). The code was set by the Nissan computer when the aftermarket coils were installed. The different electrical resistance of the aftermarket coils will result in an incorrect voltage across the coils which will be detected by the ECU (computer), causing the code to set. (Many states fail verification with a code set.)
