Wireless Battery Charger - Desktop

not a very good charger not very expensive works well but no signal or indication when charge is complete, I would change my mind about buying in the future but keep it anyway

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The power supply does not match the socket

Works. But the back of the charger says it requires 12-16 volts DC and the power supply says its output voltage is 10.5 volts. This is not good.

Pros
  • Good assembly
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Unit LEDs are not properly lit. Actually it is.

Device LEDs do not light up properly. In fact, it's not clear if the batteries are being charged at all. I get 3 green flashes and then nothing. A (later) return of the device still cannot be charged. Tried several batteries. To return.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Protection

Works well with new FNB80 LI batteries

I've used this for a few charge cycles of two different FNB 80 LI batteries, worked fine. The LED indicator actually turned green after a few hours, which by my calculations seems correct. The included 120VAC power supply was 16VDC at 0.6A. Fast delivery and good price.

Pros
  • A little above
Cons
  • Minor issues

I can charge an 80LI battery for my VX-6R

This device provides the utility listed in its description. It charges batteries and fits in my radio. Pros Charges my 80LI battery. Shows (red light) when the battery is charging and the radio is off. Displays (not lit) when the battery is charged and the radio is off. Suitable for my radio. does not exactly match the description * Does not flash green when the battery is almost charged when the radio is not switched on. * Does not light up green when the battery is fully charged unless the…

It seems to work fine (with new batteries).

As mentioned, the charger is relatively well designed and easy to use. The battery can be placed in the charger separately or together with the radio. However, I have three batteries and the charger only works with the newest battery (bought in 2016, 1400 mAh). The two old batteries (1300 mAh) that are not charged in this charger are about 10 years old (including the original Yaesu battery). Although they are old they still work well and charge great when charged with the original Yaesu charger

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • Expensive

Overall it seems like it could be better than the original BC-15A.

Update: 7/27/2020 Revision B: -- The charger works better when using the new 7.4V battery. However, there is no orange LED, only a red one when charging. And it blinks when it's nearing full charge (turns on and off very slowly, eventually turning green when fully charged). -- With E-DC-5B (cigarette lighter plug with filter and internal voltage drop) - and this charger, system The input voltage can be up to 9.75V. -- When using a DC cord with Anderson power pole (no voltage drop) and this…
