Poor workmanship

On first use I installed the smallest nozzle and found that the head would not tighten. The threads aren't broken, just poorly made.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Problem

Revainrating 3 out of 5

poorly finished in welding and soldering

Only holds large drill bits, not at all suitable for small ones. just as good as my old tip cleaner, i think i will have to return it

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Decent set in Welding Gear

The only downside I have with this tip cleaner set is that the chuck is not tightened enough to keep the drill bit from spinning Cams Patron to see, does that help!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Expensive

Drill Tip Cleaner

Drills are good for tip cleaning. However, the husband said the problem was with the bit grip. He said not to center the club in the collet. It looks like the collet is off center. Two of the four grippers that tighten around the racquet are smaller than the other two. He modified an old Exacto knife handle to keep the blades straight.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some Little Things

I paid $13.00 inclusive of tax Prime for two (2) *HobartTip Cleaners-Drill Type* in October 2014 and was disappointed with their quality! The drill bits worked well (in a hobby lobby pin drill bit I found at a garage sale for $0.50) and I managed to keep up with the 2 sets of bits provided for a couple of years, although they're all gone now !

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Almost ok

Very very cheap for welding machines and accessories

Zero quality control in manufacturing. The bit chuck is most often scrap, cut crooked so the bit goes in crooked and cannot be tightened enough to hold the bit securely. The barrel is steel and the cartridge tensioner is aluminum of very poor quality so aluminum shavings fly out every time you loosen or tighten it. It won't be long before all the threads are gone. Pretty much rubbish.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Frequency

SERIOUS? Suitable for handpiece cleaner

What the hell. Hobart. one of the biggest names in the industry. How can they afford to smear their name with such rubbish? Everything is so badly done. But the worst thing is the cap. holds all drill bits securely inside. It's a cheap plastic plug that won't fit in the hole. Turn it to the side and it comes out along with all the little drill bits. What the hell is wrong with that? Are you serious? Then how was it designed and made? Hobart?! SERIOUS?

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Vulgarity

SERIOUS? for welding and soldering

What a piece of junk. To smear your name with such junk ?All this so poorly done. But the worst thing of all is the cap. that keeps all the drill bits safe. it's a cheap plastic plug that doesn't fit in the hole. sideways and out it goes with all the tiny drill bits. what the heck going on with that are you serious so how is it designed and built then Hobart?! SERIOUSLY?

Pros
  • Product packaging dimensions: 6.8"L x 1.8"W x 0.5"H
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Good product needs improvement

This is a great tool for cleaning the burner tip. However, the smallest bait is the most commonly used by farmers and home gardeners and is the most fragile, so it can break. It would be far better to provide a few of those bits rather than more choices. I bought this tool to replace my neighbor's that I borrowed and broke. I couldn't get the stub of the bat, but it ended up burning off. The concept is superior to other handpiece cleaners.

Pros
  • Model number: 770086
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

COUNTERFEIT OR DEFECTIVE SOLD AS NEW

Either defective or fake. i'm willing to bet The thing is cheap. Poor build quality. The cap wobbles terribly when you try to tighten it. You can't even put a full clip on the biggest bat. I pulled a real one out of my tool box and stuck a bit in but couldn't even get it out to drill through the brass. I thought I just got a bad one so I ordered a replacement, this one is the same terrible quality. This seller should be permanently banned for trying to pass this on to buyers.

Pros
  • Drill Cleaner
Cons
  • Some Faults
