🚗 Holley 6194-2 Blu Auto Electric Fuel Pump Review

The controller didn't work. I was warned, but I bought it anyway. So far the pump is working great. Just buy a higher quality controller.

Less than a year in use and just under 4500 miles and the MAINTENANCE FREE shaft seal has failed. The pump is good but it doesn't last long!

Lasted over a year with just over 5,000 miles, runs better than I need for my stock 327 but is very noisy when bolted to the body so I have one couple of external rubber muffler mounts for that because they help A LOT but are still a little noticeable. 👍

Has internal thermal protection. Nice feature but not what I need when I need power. The regulator works great but there is no return so it doesn't breathe fuel. With low consumption, this pump continues to pump at the same speed. The fuel is heated and finally aerated. The pump then overheats due to the lack of incoming cold fuel to cool the pump. If you have high flow this should be great for you.

The pump works great and is easy to install with little automotive/electrical knowledge. The pump I received came in a torn box, the positive wire was cut (don't know why, hopefully unused) and some washers and such were missing. The regulator didn't have threads for the mounting plate so you'll have to cut it off, if I remember I'll post the size of the tap. Without these things it would have been 5 stars.

I installed this pump in my 1967 Pontiac with a 400ci engine. An engine with a power of about 400 hp. with Quadrajet carburettor. The carb requires 7 pounds of pressure and this pump delivers it with ease. It comes with a fuel regulator which I haven't used because I already have a good one. It's good to have a backup. Cons of this fuel pump: Vibrations could be dampened if a better rubber gasket was supplied for mounting. I didn't like the assembly of the controller either. For my application…
