It doesn't fade at the top like in the photos. I would have been happy with it if they hadn't rolled it up for shipping. The shape is completely ruined by creases on the sides. My little cat doesn't fit in there. Great material and the pillow is soft (if not a little stuffed).

This cat house is well made, but our cat won't climb in with the cushion provided because it's narrow inside. I would say good for a small cat and a very small dog. Our cat sleeps in it without a pillow, but with his head or paw sticking out of the hole.

According to the description it is suitable for dogs up to 15 lbs. Not even close. It also says chihuahua and rabbit. These will fit. Not a 15 pound small dog. Mine tried to get in and wore it like a hat. Although he loves it. I bought him to hide and feel safe during the storm. I just got it and he's already hooked on it, so maybe this will help lessen his anxiety. My 10kg cat would feel uncomfortable in it. This is too little. It's not worth the price.

It took my cats a few days to warm up in this house but after spraying it a bit and putting a heating pad under it, first my old lady, about 16 years old, started using it, and then younger cats. Now the cat is almost every day and sometimes in the morning when I get up. The felt is nice and heavy, quite durable. With a heating pad included (K&H PET PRODUCTS Pet Bed Warmer) it is warm enough to charge cat batteries. I have no doubt this will provide years of comfort for our cats.
