🍟 Efficient and Durable Home Basics Stainless Steel French Fry Cutter - Silver, One Size Review

I like the design of this item and it is a good size. However, it is very shabby and cheap. One of the blades is bent and the handles are wrong. I paid a little more and took Revane's recommendation hoping to get a quality product. Unfortunately this is not true.

This product does not meet the requirements. The blades aren't sharp enough to cut potatoes, so you can't fry them. You can only go about a quarter of the way through the potato no matter how hard you squeeze. I was also afraid that the thin blades would break. The only way to make fries out of this is to quarter the potatoes. This leaves you with mini fries. It didn't meet my expectations at all.

This cutter was really good. UNJTIL, after only 3 uses, broke the "frame". Everything is stainless steel except for the frame, which bears the brunt! It can work a little longer as the plastic frame fits into the stainless steel frame; I think it eventually becomes so "loose" that it can't withstand the density of the potato. If it was all stainless steel it would have gotten 5 stars.

This is only my first use so of course it works fine. I was concerned that there would be a "cheap feel" based on some of the reviews. However, it appears to be very durable, like real metal, maybe most of it. Inside there is a plastic part (see photo). I used a large, firm Idaho potato and it was a bit awkward to press. The potato moves sideways, probably because I'm not even pushing. Will post an updated review after several uses to really see how it holds up over time.

I bought an air fryer and was looking for the perfect addition to my air fryer. This product was a frying knife. Unfortunately it wasn't what we thought. I found this product difficult to use and required a lot of muscle strength. I don't have to work that hard. However we have found this product to be great for slicing apples for frying, place these slices in the fryer and you are in for a great treat.
