    Beautiful but light - paper towel holder

    This paper towel holder is certainly beautiful and stylish, but it is very light. Due to its weight, it definitely cannot be used with one hand. I finally decided to ditch it and go back to a simple but heavy paper towel holder.

    Not suitable for large paper towel rolls.

    Quality construction and great looks, HOWEVER. The support post is too close and won't let the reel rotate until you've used 1/2 of it. You'll end up dragging it across the countertop, which could cause the rubber caps at the base to fall off the stems and scratch the counter or table. Buy with caution.

    Very large rolls will not fit well

    Paper towel holder heavy enough to stand up by pulling the sheet. However, large rolls of paper towels are not very suitable; there is not enough space between the rod in the middle and the small spindle on the outside. You can slide a roll in, but the first few sheets don't pull out very easily and can tear. A bit of a shame because it's really pretty but awkward to use with a new reel.

    Should have returned

    I should have returned it immediately but unfortunately I waited several frustrating months to get it working before my husband got tired and threw it away. When it arrived I found it wasn't office and was even a little rusty. The way they are connected looks weird, and the long pole that goes through the middle tube isn't long or strong enough to hold it up. It just didn't work from day one. I liked the color and needed a reel seat but this one didn't last. save your money

    Item broken in broken box

    Ordered two of these paper towel holders as Christmas presents. They would be very good keepers if it weren't for the shipping issues. One of them was still intact, but without two of the three plugs on the bottom. The other was completely broken and without a stopper. The box that was shipped to me was oversized, about 4ft tall and 1ft wide. There was absolutely no packaging material in the box to protect the items. The box was also damaged in transit resulting in the box being delivered open…

    Overall a good holder but read the reviews.

    First, the packaging in the shipping box was terrible. I don't usually complain, but basically someone threw this in a plastic bag (it was torn), put it in a mailer box, and added 4 shipping bubbles. There was still plenty of room in the box and it was NOT secure at all. Second, why send it disassembled? The center pole was detached from the concealed pole. Eventually realizing they needed to be twisted and then struggling with it, he peeled the paint off the base of the pole. Not a big deal as
