The metal hanging file rods don't stay in place so I only use it as a utility bag to keep my work essentials together. It doesn't really work for a portable briefcase.

I wanted to update a few things in my home office and this is perfect. Sturdy enough, holds a lot of papers and file folders, portable and looks very nice. It can be a little difficult to lug it from home to the office when it's full.

I love these suspension files. This is exactly what I was looking for and not the only one I have. I would be careful with the weight you put on these bars though. The inside of the pouch they are attached to moves down until the skin can no longer support the weight placed on the bars.

Convenient for carrying files and other items, but the straps are a bit short. I suggest changing the design with the straps a few inches longer to make it easier to grab and carry. Has a wide opening. The color of the saddle is realistic for the picture. I'm not sure how long it will last with daily use but I'm hoping it will last at least 9-12 months.

Well as you can see from the photo, suspension files do NOT work. There is nothing in them that could cause a problem. The main reason I ordered this was to have easily accessible dangling files for my genealogy research. I tried stretching the bars but it didn't work. I really hate that I spent this amount on something that doesn't serve its original purpose.

I was very excited when I unpacked this item. It was packaged well and looked very nice. However, I noticed that the 2 screws on the ends of the file rails are missing. Then I realized that when adding bars in the place of the file, the folder IS NOT SUITABLE! It's amazing that the company that sells this hanging file folder product hasn't verified that the file folder actually fits!

Unfortunately, after I added the metal rods to this organizer, the file folders didn't fit. The compression was so severe that I had to force the file folders in and they wouldn't move. I ended up pulling out the metal bars and throwing them away. I use it as a holder for towels. This is a beautiful container with beautiful stitching and colors. I blushed. However, I had to buy another container for the files.

The bag itself is beautiful, perfect size, just what I was looking for. However, to use it with suspension files, it comes with two metal rods that "hook in" at the top. Basically there are cutouts in the leather and small screws that go into each end of the bars (one screw was missing from my order, probably because there was a hole in the bag that had it). Then align the notched bars and insert screws. None of this is explained in any way because no one has thought of it. However. Hanging…
