This is exactly what I wanted. They're big enough that I don't have to refill them often, and they're also comfortable to hold without being heavy. I'm not saying they're flimsy or cheap. simply good - in size, weight and quality. The holes are the same on both shakers and I find them perfect for salt but a bit small for the ground pepper course which we prefer. DH will see if he can increase it a bit. Otherwise it's exactly what I was looking for!

Have had them for a year now and love not having to keep refilling the smaller set. The downsides are that the holes can be a bit larger (I'd use finer salt if you're having trouble) and also the lids can snag when twisted due to the lack of gaskets (just metal to glass). My HACK was to use some unscented candle wax on the inside of the rim and voila - no more opening problems! I would buy them again. :)

These salt and pepper shakers are really cool. I love her. They have a modern retro style. They are large: 2.5 inches wide and 4.375 inches high. (I've included a few photos. Note that they're almost the same height on one of the Simply Organic spice jars, but the S&P shakers are about 1/3 wider.)
