Terrible Situation in Tie-Outs & Stakes

My dog was in pain because his tie got tangled in his leg and was very swollen. My husband tried to untangle it for about 2 hours and the craziest thing was the dog was threatening to bite because of the excruciating pain.

Pros
  • Stable Test Results
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Thick, tough no problem, other "properties " proved awkward

Update - already broken and degenerated to the point of being unusable. This has been one of the hardest runners to use and I've been using them for 10 years. Don't waste your money, these from the dollar store serve a lot better.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Change every 2-3 months.

I like it! This is a great alternative if you don't have a fenced yard. However, my dog tends to run around trees and such and he got so excited about the wires that he managed to break them in half twice! So remember to get a new one every few months to keep your dog from running away! I still think it's a great product, but it's not indestructible.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Contemporary

Frustrating fit for training and behavioral aids

I have changed my rating from 3 stars to 1. My 49 pound German shepherd keeps coming off the hook attached to his harness. We've tried a couple of straps and found it's a 50-foot cord that allows him to move around comfortably, but what does it matter if he's about to run away or get hit by a car. Don't buy that, look for something more expensive/reliable.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Easily torn

Saved my pup from escaping.

I have a Shiba Inu and he likes to jump off every time the door is opened outwards. I bought this leash to hang around his collar and the porch railing so Sake can be outside with us when my husband and I have been outside or in the garden. This allows him to go anywhere, but he cannot free himself. My only negative comment is that the hooks are too heavy for my dog as she is only 26 pounds. It doesn't seem to bother him, I just feel like it's hanging heavily on his collar. Basically we are…
