I use Bodkin regularly because I sew a lot. I'm always looking for mine and the last time I needed it I couldn't find it. Using this safety pin is much more convenient, safer and easier to use. I didn't need 10, but now I have a few to give to others as small gifts, and I've put them in different places so there's always one.

I usually buy them by the piece from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft, but after losing the last one I decided to buy them in bulk. They have a slightly more industrial feel than the ones I usually buy and they feel a bit larger which can cause problems when trying to cut through small cases. But for my use they will be perfect. And they're packaged very minimally, just a plastic bag with the company's name on it.

Much easier to use than a safety pin. Securely attaches to an elastic or lanyard and fits snugly through the case. I sew a lot of leaves and this makes it easy to thread the elastic through the body of the bag. Very strong, well-made, snag-free, smooth metal to grip even the most delicate material. I can't believe I've been sewing for over 40 years and just found out about it now. They also make a great gift for any seamstress.
