Perfect fit for my Honda mower! The location of the air intake on Honda vehicles occasionally exposes them to improper mowing near bushes and other obstacles. Eventually the plastic clips on the lid will simply break and the filter will fall out. Thank goodness this knot, although poorly placed and constructed, is easily replaceable and not very expensive.

Older mowers have a 3-hole airbox, newer mowers have a 2-hole airbox. The metal bracket has two bolts in front of the carburetor, eliminating the need to drill a hole for a third bolt and risk another dirty air passage behind the filter. The old steel deck is starting to fail so the future lies with new 2-bolt airbags ;) The old airbag was user damaged so Honda can't really blame it.

If the mower was brought too close to a hedge or bush, the clip on the air filter unit broke. My repair lasted less than a season. It was a nice surprise, it's so easy to find this product on Revain. For $17, about 20 minutes to search, watch a YouTube repair video, and about an hour to disassemble and assemble, my 7 year old Honda is back in great shape. .

After ordering with the full model number of my Honda engine I received parts that were close to what I ordered but not true. The molded plastic breather tube on my original air filter housing was at a 45 degree angle. The new one was 90 degrees. ---------- Addendum: Honda sells an S-shaped hose that fits at a 90 degree angle to the body. Well I've had a Honda lawn mower long enough that the air filter cover kept falling off the air filter housing so I decided to replace the entire assembly. This was a relatively easy task as the block and carburetor are attached to the block with just two hex head screws. A piece of advice for those new to small engines, be careful when removing these two screws as not only will the air cleaner housing come loose, but also the choke mechanism, carburetor and all gaskets. So pay attention to how
