They worked great for the first two weeks. Then one night in the middle of the night there was a loud bang and my bed was put on an angel. One of the straps broke in the middle of the night. Definitely make sure they don't cost over £300.

These boners have changed my life. I used to have to practically lay down on the floor to get into bed. Now I just sit down for a bit and roll to the side. If everyone had them, I believe we could bring peace to the world because, as I've been told repeatedly, "5 inches makes a big difference."

I got these because I'm a college student and wanted to be able to cross my legs at a cheap table I bought at your favorite furniture store (I have pretty long legs , although I'm only about 1.80 meters tall). Although the table stands on 2 long bar legs instead of the usual 4 legs (e.g. the legs are joined together at the short ends of the table) these increases were amazing! Being able to cross your legs to create detailed proofs of quantum mechanics is awesome.

Just received. They definitely don't feel as strong/stiff as the old risers that used to be made. They look like thinner, cheaper plastic (manufacturer trimmed some corners to save money) that breaks easily under pressure. However, they hold less than 150 pounds of weight (including bed and baby), so we'll see how long they last. I went with the round base because I figured it wouldn't tip over as easily, but we'll see. I would not recommend anyone to buy these to support a heavy wooden bed…
