didn't work so ordered and installed and works great. Easy installation

elf Diagnostics showed a malfunction of the water level sensor. I tried cleaning first, didn't help, so I ordered and installed one and it works great. Ease of installation. The old one is over 10 years old.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • The list will be long.

As advertised, OEM quality replacement part

I didn't have to replace anything other than the sensor itself, but it comes with a retaining clip, wire harness and gaskets should you need them. The sensor troubleshooting guide is incomplete at best; It only asks you to check the sensor terminals for shorts, but doesn't check for an open condition (open sensor), which in my case caused the blink error. Hopefully this one will last more than 2 years but if not replacing is not too expensive and very easy.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Useless features

Easy to replace. HUNDREDS of $$ saved compared to going through a pro.

Perfect replacement. Eliminates my 6 blinking red LED problem by about 1/4 of what it would take to ask an HVAC guy to even open TrueSteam. The problem was fixed immediately and has been working flawlessly for a month now. I expect it to fail in a year or so, but that's the nature of the beast here. I'm very happy to know that it can be easily repaired for $60. If you're not sure you can replace it, don't. Instructions for replacing the sensor are included with the product. Basically 4 steps…

Easy Installation: Parts and Accessories

As long as the humidifier is positioned so that you can position yourself to look at the top, the water sensor assembly is very easy to install. Basically, with the power off, remove the cover (one screw), disconnect the sensor cable, lift the retaining clip, then remove the sensor and remove the two gaskets under the sensor. Then reverse the process to install the new one. All of these parts (except for the cover) are included in the kit, although you may not need to replace all parts, e.g. B.

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Disappear

Interesting approach to renovation.

Like many others, I have had this humidifier for about 5 years now and it is a device that requires special care. But it works fine. Yes, next year I'll have to deal with aging cracking plastic caps and tanks, but this time my problem was the same old "overflow" error problem I've had in the past. The previous replacement of the level sensor solved the problem three times, but this time not for the first time. I did a lot of tinkering until I examined the device in the dark with a flashlight…
