Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Honeywell 50027998-002: High-Quality Water Level Sensor for True Steam Humidifiers" by Doug Booth

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to replace. HUNDREDS of $$ saved compared to going through a pro.

Perfect replacement. Eliminates my 6 blinking red LED problem by about 1/4 of what it would take to ask an HVAC guy to even open TrueSteam. The problem was fixed immediately and has been working flawlessly for a month now. I expect it to fail in a year or so, but that's the nature of the beast here. I'm very happy to know that it can be easily repaired for $60. If you're not sure you can replace it, don't. Instructions for replacing the sensor are included with the product. Basically 4 steps: 1) UNPLUG Truesteam! 2) Unscrew 1 screw on the front panel to open the top. 3) Unscrew the 2 screws on the water level sensor and remove the U-shaped pull rod. 4) Disconnect, remove and replace the water level sensor. Assemble by reversing steps 1-3. I've uploaded some photos of the removed sensor so you can compare yours if you'd like before buying a new one. Cracking in the plastic is a problem, and general sensor warpage is a sign of heat stress causing these things to fail.

  • Great for me
