Super easy to use and very accurate

Super easy to use! Went with no problems and I used it to control room after room. Brought it into the office the other day and was surprised at how dry it was so bought another humidifier for the office. The best way to protect yourself from the flu, viruses and dust mites is to make sure your environment has enough humidity to regulate pollutants. so you don't inhale them. If you're on a plane, you can't take a humidifier with you, but you can bring a diffuser. This will help some.

  • Hands-free operation

Accurate and easy to read

Bought to accompany our humidifier and have a better idea of the humidity level in our bedroom to improve sleep. That works great. We had a different brand that we used in a different part of our house so I installed them together to see if there was a difference. Both reported the same temperature and humidity, so I was sure it was correct. I like that the numbers are big and easy to read and the timeline is a different size so you can look at it easily and don't get the two numbers confused…

Requires!: Parts and Accessories

I didn't know our apartment was so dry. I mostly use a humidifier because the humidity has less effect on my nose. So this year I really got nosebleeds. It kept coming back and I used Nasogel which was very soothing. But I didn't have a humidifier, so I bought this meter. I hadn't the faintest idea how much moisture we had and what the numbers should be. This monitor will show you - it's very easy to understand. Our apartment turned out to be very dry, and even with the humidifier on in the…

Accurate, simple but a little hard to see in bright light.

This helps me a lot. It's accurate (I've compared it to another digital standalone device, the digital readings from my Honeywell humidifier, and an old analog dial indicator) and it doesn't take up much space. I've been using it non-stop for a few months now and the battery still holds a charge. The only thing I would like to improve about this element is the visibility. When it's lit by an incandescent bulb or "side light" with my house lighting, I can't see the reading on the LCD. So that…

Extremely inaccurate

We live in the high desert of the Southwest and use three humidifiers in separate rooms during the winter when the heater dries the air more than usual. I already have three moisture meters: two Acurite 613s bought two years ago ($9 each) and one Extec 445815 bought three years ago (now $40). I bought this Honeywell to test two other brands. Two Akyurit read very close together - mostly the same or differ by one percent. Extec always shows a few percent more. I tend to trust Acurite more…
