OPEN DAILY! - Safes and safe accessories

Such cool stuff. I like the idea, it's compact and well built. But there's a catch. You must open and air it for at least 30 minutes WEEKLY. Know this before you buy it. I did not do it. For me, I ride it regularly, so it's not a big deal, but it's still annoying to think about.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Hard to say

Beware of mold in safes

I put my passport, social security card and other important documents in this safe. I don't go there regularly but I just wanted to get my passport and everything in the safe is moldy. I put something in there to soak up moisture, but that didn't help. I don't recommend this safe, but if you must buy one, open it regularly so you can get mold early.

Good for the price range.

I bought this because I needed it, the price was right. I really wanted a safe that was completely fireproof and waterproof, but they were too expensive for me. That should work. The lock feature is a bit tricky to open and I wouldn't recommend it for people with hand arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome. Get used to unlocking/opening.

Sturdy little safe. key works!

Like everyone else I had trouble opening the safe. until I read the instructions. Oh! First you need to open the two snap locks on the right and left of the lock. Then the key turns very quickly and easily! It's really hard work and I'm amazed at how effective it will be. Also, remember to air the safe within 30 minutes of opening it! I just left the silica gel bag in the safe. doesn't hurt and may help

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Security

Compact, heavy, thick-walled, but with only one closure for security.

Likes: - compact - fits everything I need - fits a lot because it's so small - super strong - thick walls to avoid damage - I keep all my cards , my passport, death arrangements and other essentials just on and with space left - I'm short and petite so it's a nice little seat for now considering I'm only renting a room. Lid down but serving no other purpose, there is only one real locking pawl in the center of the item and this is the only place the item actually locks

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Secret

Key is bullshit not steel cheap alloy snaps right in

Overall I like this safe, it fits small hard drives, looks solid and the clips seem to hold it securely. Do not rely on the security of the lock, you may not be able to open it either. The key is made of a strange alloy that breaks as soon as you put it in, it's literally as strong as a rye cracker. Oddly enough, instead of solid steel, the maker of this "protective" safe, Honeywell, opted for a key that picks the lock quickly and easily. I'm shocked but luckily it broke in my open position. I…

Pros
  • Decent job
Cons
  • Minor issues
