Where is all the noise coming from with these filters?

Well I know where the noise is coming from on these replacement filters. What am I talking about? The replacement sheets are 1/2 or 1/3 the size of the originals and must be stacked on top of each other. You lose most of the filter area due to the extra rubber in the middle. Changing the filter size creates an unacceptable amount of new noise. And that's not the noise that the filters originally created. It's more like a jet engine taking off and a little louder. We bought the best brand of…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Good but not great

This product stated I need it for my Honeywell 50250 air purifier but upon receipt I found I needed 3 of them need filters. 3 filters didn't completely fill the chamber like 1 larger filter that came with the air purifier. The installation instructions and pictures were misleading in that there was no clarity about the seals on the filter when using 3 filters. The picture appeared to show that the gaskets had to be removed and this ruined the filter. I am not happy with the three filter system…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Available in white only

Toxic rubber smell! Causes an asthma attack! AVOID!

I followed all the steps to assemble 3 filters for my model 50250 which previously used a 24000 HEPA filter. After turning it on, the absolute WORST smell of toxic rubber started coming out of my car! Terrible and difficult to breathe. Causes an instantaneous asthma attack. I had to turn it off! Now I'm being treated with a nebulizer because of those horrible filters! The packaging says "The performance of your Honeywell device depends on your Honeywell filters." So why make filters of such low

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Not what it seems! for air cleaner parts and accessories

This filter was ordered for our model 50300 and this filter is too small. To do this, you need to buy 4 filters and put them in a block. Be sure to verify the model number before ordering this filter. Little did I know my unit required 4 of these filters making the price extremely high. Make sure you know what you're getting. I am trying to return this item. Below you will find the product information. You can see how misleading this is for my model number. (50300) Removes up to 99.97% of…

Pros
  • Nicely
Cons
  • Modernity

I use these filters on the 50300 which requires 4 stacked filters. The instructions suggest spacers between these pleated filters. They are actually struts, about 3/4 inch thick foam. Spacers were not required on my model, so there was no loss of filter area. The models 12520, 17400 and 50200, on the other hand, each have 2 stackable filters and 2 dividers that take up about 1/2 of the filter volume. This means that the 11520 and 12520 have the same filter capacity, but the 12520 has 2 spacers.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Kaz What have you done?

Kaz ruined the Honeywell name. The original replacement filter for the 52500 Honeywell has been discontinued. The Honeywell brand replacement is a special set of these fine filters in combination with a dense foam rubber gasket. This filter, combined with the possible use of a foam pad (included), is suitable for several brands of Kaz. This was an apparent attempt to reduce the very large inventory of filters needed, but also makes multiple makes/models far less effective than using the…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
