Nice color and brightness. Definitely an improvement over the standard light that most tank and hood kits come with. plant and fish. color intensified

it came with no instructions but it was easy to figure out how the extensions fit together. the lite itself is very bright and makes our aquarium that much better, the blue nite lite looks cool, wish they had used some more blue leds to make the nite feature a little brighter - don't know if it will last will, even though the fish woke up lol

Purchased for wintering our goldfish in the aquarium. I'd never owned an aquarium before, but I knew these little guys needed light. That's cool! It has bright daylight and dim purple light at night. It helps with evaporation a little because it covers just over half the top. It's too long for our aquarium, but it doesn't matter and works just as well.

This lamp is exactly what I wanted. I've ordered several more of these lights and they all had built in timers so I couldn't use my own external timer for them. It has a toggle switch that is blue, off, or full. I leave it fully connected to my timer and everything works with no issues. The feet on this one work great and are very sturdy compared to other brands. It seems pretty splash proof, even the switch has a cover. I recommend this 12w light, it does not disappoint.

I bought this for my 29 gallon axolotl tank that needs blue light during the day and not a bright full spectrum light. For me the fact that it uses a switch means I can just plug it into a timer and always get a blue light. Another design feature compared to other lights is the installation of the LEDs. No more blinding light pollution! As a bonus, the light itself doesn't get hot, which was a big safety issue with the previous one I had. For those who will use the full spectrum; It's as bright
