Hoover FH51050 Upright Cleaner and Shampooer Review

Bought new and arrived mostly in original packaging. There was water in the hose. I cleaned three carpets, a staircase and a sofa. Everything went well and was clean. The dirty water tank is very difficult to remove and pour out, and putting it back in is even more difficult. But otherwise it works fine.

I try not to judge the products but this carpet cleaner is the worst. I have a light-colored carpet in a high-traffic area that needs cleaning. This carpet cleaner left visible streaks of solution that would not mix with the brushes. I had to use a cleaning brush and cleaning solution to soften the streaks. If you want to buy this model, keep looking!

Easy to use, works well on short and tall carpets. The only problem I found was cleaning the dog hair over the roller brushes. The clear cover cannot be removed. To clean it and remove the hair, I removed the tanks, stood them upside down over the kitchen sink, and ran tap water through the brushes to rinse away the hair and dirt. Since you can see through it, you'll know when it's clear. It even worked on my hardwood kitchen floor. Overall very happy with the purchase.

I really liked this floor cleaner but I would return it if I could. I've used two others in the past and had good experiences. I tried this cleaner and it made the carpet very damp. The next time I used it, I made sure to follow the directions to make sure I wasn't doing anything. Same result. I have used the cleaner 3 times and although the carpet is clean I feel it is too damp. I think it doesn't pick up all the dirt and water like it should. The carpet dries for 2 full days.

So I have 2 complaints. Firstly it doesn't suck as much as my last one, no big deal I just need to let it dry longer. My biggest problem is taking it apart to clean it (which I do after EVERY use is not convenient or easy.
