I had to replace my OEM connector many years ago due to corrosion. This even fit into the original connector bracket. And lots of wire. This connector is thicker than the OEM connector.

This is a very well made, solid and high quality item. Mounting holes for fixed mounting are very useful. Many cables have been set aside for you to connect the wiring to the back of the car.

Haven't used it yet but it was very easy to install on my 2010 Mazda 5. It only took me about an hour so a competent person will do it in no time. With this kit there is no need to run a cable to the front of the car. Three wires connect near one taillight, the other wire runs under the trunk trim to the opposite taillight.
