Review on Hopkins 48030 Endurance Vehicle Connector by Nick Nigerson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to install.

Haven't used it yet but it was very easy to install on my 2010 Mazda 5. It only took me about an hour so a competent person will do it in no time. With this kit there is no need to run a cable to the front of the car. Three wires connect near one taillight, the other wire runs under the trunk trim to the opposite taillight. Once you have access to the wires, use a small feeler gauge to see which wire is the brake and which wire is the turn signal etc. For example, identify "left turn signal", and then the instructions will tell you which wire of the kit should be left inserted. Indicator. Slide one of the small blue connectors onto the car wire, insert the end of the kit wire into the hole and snap into place. It's pre-filled with a sticky compound to keep water out. I had a little trouble getting them to snap into place by hand, but the little pliers had no problem. The electrical part of this job was easier than getting to the wires. I also ordered the Automotive Installer Pry Tool Kit for about $5 and it was well worth it to help open the trims on this job.

Pros
  • Guard Wire
Cons
  • Clarity
