Pretty easy to install, broke in 4 months! Update: 4/9/2020 Replacement and I just received it today which was a surprise especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic ! Name that I have AWESOME customer service! Thanks again, you got 5 stars! Update: 06/08/2020: 4 months later and it broke again even with silicon protection. I mean I rarely every time I put my keys on a big key ring, where I can just clip it to my wrist! I don't think I'll order another one anyway, not worth it for me

I've dropped my Accord key on the pavement too many times and the case has cracked near the screw, preventing it from locking. I was surprised at how expensive a complete car key replacement would be with one of these electronic key fobs, so I gave this inexpensive solution a try. It works well, although the instructions could use some improvement (you have to insert the blade holder a little farther from the socket and slide it forward; you can't just push it straight down).

These are well designed replacement key fob cases. Take a star 1 - as detailed for the lack of a chip tray and 2 - the original key comes with a machine-threaded screw, and the screw that comes with these cases has a self-tapping screw. The pictures listed explain how to change the chip and glue but I would have preferred a small tray like the original Honda FOB case. The screw came up and held the case in place, but damaged the machine threads in the original key.

Stay away from this product, it does not correspond to the declared key. The transponder (button section) fits fine, but the actual key will not fit in the assembly unless you cut off the bottom holding the metal part of the key. The hole that the screw goes in and what essentially holds the entire key together doesn't fit when you try to put the key in, again it has to be cut to fit the insert. The plastic parts feel brittle and I don't think they will last more than a few months with normal…
