This horse is not a stable horse and would take 15 to 30 minutes each day to untangle his mane. I braided her mane, nothing special, just about ten straight braids, and the problem is solved. Each band lasts 2 to 3 weeks depending on how tight it holds them, rolling, rubbing against trees, if the band breaks before the braid has a chance to unravel I just put another band on. love these things.

Unfortunately, these hair bands do not stay in place, no matter the hair is dirty or clean, they cannot stay in place for more than a few hours place remain days. I've never braided my hair so many times. I tried using 2 or 3 braids instead of just one to see if that would help hold them in my hair. The straps are too smooth, there is no grip, so they slip off.
