Very well done.: Stage and studio cables

Very well done. Excellent quality. I can't comment on how well it works other than to say I haven't had any issues with it when using it.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • I won't say anything

NOT required on stage or in the studio. Cable

Works well! I've been very happy about it! Very well built and sturdy but not really needed. I didn't notice any difference when I did NOT have this installed.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Expensive

Small price for a perfect show!

Perfect for my DMX lights. Before I started using this terminator, my lights would go out of sync after a few hours. Now when I use the Terminator they sync all night!

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Protection

Not Happy Not Dissatisfied

I wasn't sure if this would fix some of my light issues. I can't say it did anything for me. There are enough people out there saying you need it, and it's cheap enough that I'll keep using it just in case.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • No

Buy for the price and use it even if you don't need it.

I heard that a terminating resistor is only needed after long cables. I guess I don't know what long is. I have 5 lights with short cords. When running blocks without a terminator, there was a faint glow of multiple blocks when changing colors. After purchasing this terminator, the colors are crisp and clear.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Maybe you need it more than you think.

Don't be the type of person who, because you don't have a Terminator and have no problems, ends up thinking the Terminator is a wimp. It is not. If your cable is longer than 550 feet, you definitely need a termination. If less, you almost certainly need a termination. Incomplete systems can function normally. Until they do. And it can happen mid-show. The lights will flicker, the tools will become unresponsive, and other gremlins will attack you. This one works well and you need it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad

Works as expected, looks better than it should - but why not!

Very smooth running, I won't lie. The Hosa logo at the end is slick, slick, way prettier than any object sticking out of the back of a DMX fixture, but I think someone is paying close attention, why not! I'd say it feels quality even without the logo button at the end, but it's a nice touch that I hope didn't push the price up too much. If I need another DMX terminator I will definitely be satisfied with this one. I can get another like a nerdy replacement with talent.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Functionality
