Part of the year our water comes from a well and the rest of the time from the river and is chlorinated. The filter removes this along with many other things and I get a refreshing shower. My soap foams better and rinses off better.

A bit small but I think it's great for the price. I bought one a few years ago that was about three times the size of this one. This little one may need to be changed every 4 months depending on how often people use this shower. I love this product although thankful it exists. Helps filter out impurities and is very beneficial for the hair

I originally bought this filter with a shower head. It worked great for 6 months and then I had to replace it. I bought a replacement and it lasted about 2 weeks! After reading this other people say they thought they had a defective unit but then got the same results with a replacement - thought I'd try elsewhere. In addition, it was extremely difficult to open the filter housing to change the filter. It's not worth it.

I live in San Antonio. The water here is very hard. I've installed showerheads with these soft water filters and what an AMAZING difference! So it's time to replace them. It's easy to do. My skin and hair are so much better with these attachments! Most of the US has hard water. Unless you have a whole house water softener, I would REALLY recommend getting new shower heads. They only cost about $25 and filters cost about $12 every 4 months. Anyway, for me it's worth it!

I recently bought a HotelSpa shower head and recently bought it to replace the filter and use it again. The filter fits the shower head well and is easy to install, but I haven't noticed any difference in my hair at all. That makes me doubt the quality of this filter. Maybe where I live now the water is so bad that I need a better filtration system. I'm not sure. I'm glad this replacement filter was cheap because if it cost more than $20 I'd be disappointed.

Wow! It's not fabulous, but it's a cheap option! I live in San Diego and the water here is very hard, it's terrible for your skin and hair. I bought it as an option to try and soften the water in my apartment. After testing the water it showed it was the hardest it could be, after putting it on it dropped about 10 parts per million which isn't too bad but it's still in the red . If you only need it for minor water issues do this, it will work fine but I need heavier filtration.
