They start out great, almost like TRUE LED bulbs but not as bright as they say and bright as there are 18 LEDs per unit there MUST and usually MUST produce. No, that is right. Bought these because of the high rating so I was surprised that they are pretty mediocre. I have used LED bulbs in many places and they are typically brighter and more energy efficient than the incandescent bulbs they replace. You seem to be the exception to this rule. While arguably more energy efficient, they're not as bright as the incandescent bulbs they replaced, which is disappointing. They also have an odd bluish hue that appears harsh and cold.
