Bought these because of the high rating so I was surprised that they are pretty mediocre. I have used LED bulbs in many places and they are typically brighter and more energy efficient than the incandescent bulbs they replace. You seem to be the exception to this rule. While arguably more energy efficient, they're not as bright as the incandescent bulbs they replaced, which is disappointing. They also have an odd bluish hue that appears harsh and cold. I expected them to be at least as good as the 20 year old bulbs they replaced, but we ended up leaving most of the old bulbs in place and only using them to replace blown bulbs. Older lightbulbs burn batteries faster, but they are brighter and have better color. Although they are good replacements for burned out bulbs, don't expect them to be as good as the bulbs they replace.
