Description of Hourleey Pressure Regulator Screened Trailer

Note: gasket failure or missing gasket may cause leakage. Temperature changes or shaking may cause bubbles in the pressure gauge, which is normal. Material: Made of lead free brass, the lead content is less than 13%, far lower than the lead-free standard required by NSF. It can be raised from 0 to 160 psi. You can easily select the required pressure to protect the piping system by adjusting the screw on the top of the regulator. 3/4 inch threaded joint is compatible with all American water hose. The water pressure can be clearly seen with a pressure gauge, which is necessary for RVs, campers and travel trailers.

Improved Pressure Valve With Dial Gauge

I bought this to upgrade a faulty very basic pressure regulator. I decided to do this based on the indications on the dial. Easily bolts to camping water supply and easily adjusts to recommended RV 40 water pressure. Convenient shut-off allows you to turn water off completely while away from your RV without further adjustments. The dial contains liquid, I'm not sure if it's freezeproof, so I brought it indoors during winter storage.

So far good for freshwater systems

Product does what it's supposed to. Came wrapped in foam to avoid damaging it. At first I thought it was broken after hooking it up to my high pressure hose, but all I had to do was adjust the pressure screw to open the water flow. The screw allows a very precise adjustment of the water pressure. Drops from 120psi to 40psi with ease. I wish it had a slightly larger hole to let more water through but for the price it was a very good deal.

Cons
  • I won't say anything

The pressure regulator has a 3/4" male fitting on one end and a female fitting on the other. So you need to buy a fitting with both to install it, right? WRONG! 4" MPT works fine on the inlet, 3/4" FPT will NOT work on the outlet (it's a hose fitting). No problem, the outlet is a separate fitting, it just needs to be removed and replaced right? I could literally do it with two decent pipe wrenches (the strong enough to pry out 30 year old rusted cast iron pipes) it cannot move.

Cons
  • Available in white only
