Does not really fit newer DS4. After trimming off the excess plastic inside, the back fitted very well. The front needed some tweaking, and I was never able to get the rubber part of the PS button in place (the holes in the rubber don't line up with the plastic pins inside the controller body).

I bought this case to replace one that I accidentally broke over the weekend, stumbled while shopping for snacks and a controller in hand had when I tried to catch myself with it. It's a pretty decent case anyway, the gold faceplate is just a few shades darker than the gold PS4 controller, don't believe the picture on the listing. In my opinion, Gold Slim is a little better. Everything fits perfectly in the case and I had no problem transferring components from the broken case to the new case…

The cover will not fit new PS4 controllers. You'll quickly notice that the inside of the skin is different from the inside of your original controller. With some trimming, sanding, and petroleum jelly, I was able to put most of the controller back together and the buttons worked, but the screws were misaligned so it doesn't fully close and feel comfortable in my hand. I've spent too much time on this.
