The typical HP laptop is TERRIBLE!

I'm not sure what I expected from this as I've had HP laptops in the past and should have known better. This is the worst computer I've ever had! For a new laptop, this is unbearably slow. It freezes constantly and takes a long time to load browsers. The thing reminds me of laptops from the 1990s, although they're probably faster. This is not our wifi as we have other laptops and ipads and they are fine. The iPad is 5 years old and much faster than this laptop. It may be all the bullshit that…

Pros
  • Connect to a broadband modem or router via wired Ethernet, or connect wirelessly to a Wi-Fi signal or access point via the built-in 802.11b/g/n/ac wireless connection and connect with ease a connection to other Bluetooth enabled devices such as a cell phone or MP3 player
Cons
  • something else

Slowest laptop EVER

This computer works. It has many nice features, including a large touchscreen, full-size keyboard and number pad, large hard drive, and DVD drive. But be careful, it's SLOW. Significant lag whenever you do EVERYTHING. I've done my best to minimize/eliminate background apps and optimize to the best of my ability. Even the speed of the internet is crawling for some reason. My home WiFi typically runs at 150+ MB/s for other laptops and devices, but I get lucky when this one hits 10 or 15 MB/s…

Pros
  • 1TB SATA hard drive offers enough space to store your digital albums, music library and media files
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Good but slow on laptops

I bought 2 in a flash sale, one for my wife and one for my teenage daughter. None of them are very demanding users - they just use the basic stuff. So for them, they turned out to be pretty decent cars. The only criticism is that the processor is very slow - even simple applications take a long time to open.

Pros
  • 4GB DDR4 memory - for multitasking; supports up to 8GB
Cons
