HP 24YH 23.8" HD IPS Monitor with Anti-Glare, Blue Light Filter & Tilt Adjustment Review

When I bought this monitor it was to be a temporary and inexpensive replacement for a monitor that a cat literally knocked over and destroyed the screen. This device is great for the price. The included HDMI cable was a nice bonus. Sharp image with very little loss of sharpness at the edges. Easily connects to your computer and is now the main monitor in a dual monitor system. For a basic, no-frills monitor, this is a good price and exceeded all expectations. I recommend it as a basic device.

I love this monitor. The screen size is just the perfect size for my desktop work. I like the ability to adjust color, contrast, and brightness. Love the screen size and the ease of setup with an HDMI connection instead of a VGA cable. I'm happy with my purchase and the price was even better than I thought it would be. I wanted a fairly new/modern LED monitor, around 24 inches (with a small bezel/bezel so as not to waste a lot of space) and with VGA and DVI connections (and an HDMI connection in addition to those two would be a nice bonus ). ).This monitor met all of those criteria. Like other people, this monitor failed after a month of use with the screen halo shading and continued to be blurry. The problem persists after turning the power off and on. This is the second time I've had the same problem after returning. I do not recommend buying.

I bought this to replace a smaller (22") monitor that worked fine but weighed 20 pounds and I had to carry it with me sometimes. This one only weighs about 8 pounds and has a wider screen and better resolution. I use this product for my home PC so it sits on my desk about two feet from my face. One thing about the reviews: I'm not a gamer but I didn't have that choice so I gave it five stars because I think it has such an amazing picture that there is a gamer out there who would love it. I did a little research on a non-CRT monitor that would provide an ideal (or close) viewing experience for TV, YouTube, etc. I am very happy with my purchase, it is a quality product that I would buy again.

The monitor shows a clear picture and is easy to set up. The only odd feature is the location of the power button on the back of the monitor.

I bought these on purpose because they had a blue light reduction setting - and it paid off. I've only had monitors for a few days and I'm already noticing my eyes hurting less. As a bonus, they were larger than my previous monitors, the picture was crystal clear, and they were reasonably priced too.

Not bad for the price! I use it as a second monitor when editing my YouTube videos! It's not the best gaming monitor and the colors are a bit saturated. The stand is bad, the plastic is cheap. But for a second monitor or just for browsing the web, it's not bad at all. I recommend it! It's the right one in the photo.

I thought it was a fully tilting screen (ie side to side and up and down) but it's only up and down. I was about to go back but then got a Perleear Desktop dual monitor mount that allows them to be tilted. Overall a great screen. Very bright

THE MONITOR WORKS WELL. GOOD REPUTATION. BUT THE SUPPLEMENT ON THIS PAGE SAYS THE MONITOR IS 21.5" WIDTH. WHAT IS THIS. AND HEIGHT 15.9 INCHES. WHAT IS NOT. THIS IS 12.5 INCHES. This monitor is just amazing! I don't think I've had a backlit monitor before. I had to look up what it means while shopping because I didn't know it. Well I'm a fan. Definitely recommend!

Similar to what others have experienced, after about 4 months the monitor started to show pixel memory (the previous "image" actually remains burned out while the new images are superimposed on it. It creates a permanent streaky ripple effect). This is permanent and persists even after an extended power outage.

First, this isn't a super premium monitor. This is a decent 24-inch widescreen monitor that performs well. For the price, it's hard to beat. My 19.5" refurbished monitor broke after 1-1/2 years. This HP monitor was same price as new. I use it in a three monitor setup in my office. Excellent value for money and quality.
