It's a lot cheaper than buying them at the oil.

Much cheaper than buying from an oil change shop. I have a few in the trunk. I buy these ahead of time to increase my purchase amount and get Revain free shipping knowing I'll end up using them anyway.

Easy to install and works great!

I love using K&N products. I have a K&N air filter and now an oil filter. I trust this brand and will pay the extra. I notice that the filter does its job well after every oil change. I can say that the filter catches more dirt than previous oil filters.

Excellent product suitable for oil filter

Excellent filter to be honest I have a Volvo OEM filter at home to compare both products and I don't see a noticeable difference, I won't say so product is good. All I'm trying to say is that I don't see this product any differently or better than the Volvo OEM oil filter. I think the branding and marketing got me. You can't go wrong with K&N products.

Not suitable for Volvo S40 2.4i 2005

For some reason this oil filter is not only sold by Revain but also by other companies as fitting a 2005 Volvo S40 2.4i. It is not. There may be a bug somewhere at K&N, but this product does NOT work. I'm sure it's a quality product like all K&N products are for me. However, it is marketed as suitable for a 2005 Volvo S40 2.5i, which, as has been said, is not the case. I hope K&N makes an oil filter for this car, but until then, buy another brand.

Good high throughput filter / better MPG

I have used this on my Volvo S80 and XC70. I noticed that my average highway mileage improved a few mpg on the S80 - 28. I didn't notice any impact on city mileage. Overall a quality filter for less than $[.] at amazon.com. The few bucks more definitely translates into fuel savings over [.]$ OEM Mann/Mahle, although I would change the oil at the same interval (I change every 5,000 - Volvo recommends 7.5,000). I think Champs or Mobil One filters are better at extending oil life with better…
