K&N Premium Oil Filter: Engine Protection for AUDI, PORSCHE, VOLKSWAGEN, FORD (See Description for Compatible Vehicle Models), HP-7005 Review

This filter does not fit my Touareg. Unfortunately I put an old filter in the box for this before realizing that this filter would not fit my 2007 4.2L V8 engine. I'm sure it's a great filter, but be careful if you're a V8 driver!

The filter appears to be of good quality but the item was returned because the oil filter plug gasket (small gasket) was not included. The kit included the oil filter housing gasket (large gasket). Otherwise there would be full stars.

I have used various brands of oil filters in my 2001 VW Jetta VR6 and all of them work best with K&N. It fits perfectly in the filter housing every time. I change the oil every 5000-6000 miles and the filter is not a problem. I will continue to use them as long as I have a car.

Use K&N on all filters on my 2006 Porsche Cayenne and every time I change them you can see the difference. They work great with easy installation compared to OEM parts and better performance. I would recommend it to anyone as the benefits are noticeable and a great price compared to what a dealer will charge you.

Overall the K&N filter fits my 1998 Volkswagen Jetta GLX vr6 very well, the o-ring is much stronger than the Fram filters I've used and I loved that under harsher conditions, my engine temperature remains more stable, which may be due to better cooling and oil filtration. Recommend this to all Volkswagen owners currently using a FRAM or OEM filter.

Bought from Amazon and used on a 2000 VW GTI GLX VR6 for 6 months / 4000 miles. I drove sportily and safely. Not as good as the original VW filter after removal (dealer retail packaging, best so far) - not like a rag with fewer wrinkles. In terms of performance, they hardly differ. That's better than other manufacturers like Mann. I would go back to the original VW, cost 15-20% more but last a lot longer.
