Replacement printer

A printer of the same type had to be replaced because existing color cartridges had to be recycled. The printer works fine, previously purchased cartridges work fine in the new printer. It arrived on time with no damage to the box.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Broke after 16 months

The front display failed after 16 months which corresponds to a 1 year warranty period. I spoke to IT support and they told me that this is a common problem but since the warranty has expired they will not replace the printer and advised me to buy a new one. I strongly advise against buying an HP printer.

DO NOT BUY - Office Electronics

HP recently updated their software so you can't buy aftermarket inks, meaning you have to buy overpriced HP inks to get the printer working. Just to give you an idea, the ink that HP sells is $99 and the aftermarket ink is $25-$30. Sell them today or as I'm no idiot for spending $100 every month, don't donate today.

Pros
  • Ease of Use
Cons
  • Functionality

Ends in e-waste

We bought this printer from Costco. The printer should print. We have to turn off the printer every time we need to print. And even then, sometimes it won't print. I've wanted to throw this printer in the trash for a long time. In addition, the plug of the internet cable is too small. The internet cable doesn't click and pulls out very easily. I've tried several internet cables and none of them click when I try to install them.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • old

I do not recommend

A good printer although it works but the first one had to be returned because after a few months it stopped working. After a firmware update, my second one suddenly didn't recognize my aftermarket ink cartridges and locked my printer when I needed it with no chance of replacing it again. HP is essentially holding you hostage with this printer, forcing you to only use their overpriced inks unless you disable auto-update before you're stranded. I would not recommend and will not use HP again.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are problems

If you own this printer note the following: 1. Prints very well with 3rd party inks which are only 1/4 the cost of an HP -cartridge.2. HP sends firmware updates to the printer to block third-party ink cartridges.3. You can disable firmware updates on the printer - go to Settings -> Printer maintenance -> Update printer -> Printer update options -> Do not scan. Make sure you select NO to the optional question to disable verification.4. Third-party ink manufacturers like ValueToner…

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Poorly designed

The most disappointing printer ever!

This printer was the worst printer I have ever owned. First, if you don't use expensive HP branded ink, you run a 50/50 risk of losing money. Second, almost every time we try to print something, it doesn't work. It needs to be powered off, reset, restarted, Wi-Fi reset, setup, etc. It's something different almost every time, so you'll need to spend at least 30 minutes fixing everything to get it working. may be. This last time is the last straw. From the printer side everything was fine…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Good printer until certified

I bought this printer on 10/25/018. I faxed it shortly after receiving it, but never after. I could never receive faxes. It printed great photos but the original photo program that came with it disappeared after about 3 AUTO updates so now every time I try I can only print one photo per page, very small and right in the middle of the 8.5 x 11 page I get errors when printing and I have to turn it off to start it again. Earlier this year I received a notification that HP no longer supports this…
