🖨️ Original HP 952 Black Ink Cartridge for HP OfficeJet Printers - Eligible for Instant Ink Program Review

Although the cartridge was in the HP box when I opened it, it was NOT in the normal foil wrapper and there was no plastic strip to remove before installation. And the printer keeps saying replace cartridge that the cartridge is empty. I've tried everything. Now a geek friend says other companies are pirating packaging and selling recycled empty cartridges. HP ink cartridges slide in and out easily. Unless you want printing problems, always buy genuine HP inks for their quality. They've gotten better and better over the years. I like these new cartridges for their lower capacity. I don't print much so I could run out of ink before it expires. I wish all sellers would list an expiry date or guarantee a minimum number of months. This cartridge works great. The downside is the price. When I bought my HP printer I was hoping to use regular cartridges, but now HP printers are designed to distinguish between HP and regular cartridges so that doesn't work. As a result, you have to pay absurd prices for your own HP cartridges. On the other hand, it means you have to print less, which is good for the environment.

Well I learned the hard way again that HP printers are designed to ditch other manufacturers' inks. I first bought a half price recycled cartridge - and IT WORKS, but every time I printed I got a message saying I didn't use HP ink. I had to keep pressing the 'next' button!
