These were the prettiest chopsticks I could find on Walmart, but they are very smooth. I prefer a bit more friction go ease of use. I would have returned them, but I had already disposed of the packaging. I ended up ordering another set that looks like less of a "finished” wood.

I bought these to replace my current chop sticks that I regularly put in the dish washer, which I sure you are totally not supposed to do, but alas, both hubby and I are inherently lazy when it comes to doing dishes properly.
