Solid piece of steel

We bought this to mount a PTZOptics 20X camera on the back wall of our church. The holes are perfectly aligned and it packs some serious weight; solid piece of metal.

Perfect fit and durability

Ideal for PTZOptics cameras. In addition, he was very durable. Please note that a 1/4 x 20 screw is included to attach the camera, but it is not as good as other thumbscrews.

Unstable CCTV Enclosure and Mounting Brackets

We installed this on our balcony church. Whenever someone walks up the stairs, the camera shakes. This is especially noticeable when the camera is zoomed in. " shape. That thing is rock hard. The camera will not be affected when people walk up/down stairs. Once things slow down a bit, I'll have to find a way to stabilize this mount. Maybe I can weld some cloths.

Pros
  • Hardware Included: 4 mounting screws and washers 4 drywall/wall anchors 1/4"-20 bolts 4 unit mounting screws for 2 gang box

not thick enough

fixed to a wall, framed with stamped steel. We've found that every subtle collision with a wall causes noticeable camera shake. The steel it's made of isn't thick enough for a simple L-Bracket, so any movement in the wall is amplified as if the camera were mounted on it. Spring. We're thinking of taking it off and welding on some support arms to cover the flex angles. It would be a shame if it had to sand the finish.

Pros
  • Accessory
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging
