I placed it on a water filled zip pocket in the area of the case I was going to install. Once I was sure it worked I used slow setting thickened epoxy to mount it. I made a small fillet around the bottom with masking tape to prevent the epoxy from spilling out. That works fine.

Debt don't work like hummingbird crap. I bought this because the stock converter is not working properly. This one is even worse. The support team does not know how to install the sensor. My 999ci is expensive junk. I can't say enough good things about Humminbird.
