I ordered this item after receiving the part number from Hunter fans for the fan we ordered. Unfortunately the adapter was much smaller and didn't cover the mounting plate! Have to return it and the fans still haven't hung up! Dissatisfied

I used this with a Hunter Classic Original fan and it didn't feel as strong as the flat ceiling mount that came with the fan. It may be better for lighter fans as cast iron fans feel light. There really is no other choice for such an article.

Although Hunter Customer Service indicated this was the correct domed ceiling mount for my original Hunter fan, it was not ideal. It fits and does the job, but if you're using the original bracket, which is stronger and better than the one that comes with it, it sticks out through the slot in the center of the lid. Additionally, the Hunter Original is matte black while this mount is gloss black.
