Love this fan for the price - looks great

Love this fan for the price - looks great, well made. Needed an extra pole to install in our large room but it plugs in easily and works well. Excellent speed control and I really like the clean lines of this fan - it looks better than fans we've seen that are 2-3 times the price of our local lighting store. It's also very quiet and seems stable - our previous fan wobbled at higher speeds, but this one seems to move smoothly and dump plenty of air even from our 12ft ceilings.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Can't believe this is a Hunter

I have 7 other Hunter fans at home that I installed myself. The last 2 jobs took less than 30 minutes so I ordered this one. Assembly and hanging took over 2 hours. It looked like one of those $29 fans you find in big department stores. It was a nightmare just assembling the sheets and then putting them on the fan. To make matters worse, the tiny screws holding the top and bottom covers are almost impossible to align without an extra pair of hands. I think Hunter thought they could get $100 for

Release this fan from any contemplation!

I don't understand the good reviews about this fan at all. Folks, unless you sit directly under this fan within a two foot radius, you won't feel a breeze! If you (like me) live in the humid south, I suggest you stop reading immediately and move on to the next fan you are considering. Yes, my directional setting is correct etc. A complete waste of time and resources, a purely decorative function in the room it is installed in. A medium quality desktop fan will put out more air than this unit, I

This fan is under $15

This fan was advertised as an indoor or outdoor upgrade. That makes me think it would be ok to use on your outside porch. After paying $150 to install, I found that the fan blades are made of pressed paper? That's about it, otherwise I would have sent it back because it's junk. Even a Masonic blade would last a little longer. Not too impressed with the crowd when they blow I sit right underneath and struggle to feel it. Here's the name Hunter I trusted. Made in Mexico, this item really is…

Great for the price

I really like Emerson fans but they are a lot cheaper. Works great even in rooms with low 8" ceilings. I want the one in my bedroom to produce more air when I'm sleeping. It produces a good strong wind, too strong for most occasions but sufficient for sleeping. The fit and finish is cheap but looks expensive from 4ft. I'm happy with that for the price. Some people complain about the installation, I think that's it. It's not rocket science, but I had no problem putting mine together in an hour…

  • Good product for the price

  • I won't say anything

quality control? Best in Category Ceiling Fans

As a builder/home lover, I buy a lot of ceiling fans. I used to think Hunter was an excellent fan and I was willing to pay more for Hunter, but Hunter's last 4 fans were out of whack and had significant swings like cheap fans. Ironically, I now see a lot of cheap fans that seem to work better. I have to question their quality control but due to these issues they just lost a longtime loyal customer who bought some of their expensive fans. Update 11/10/19, due to the room being painted the blades
