Very satisfied best in ceiling fans

This is my birthday present. The best present! My husband figured it out in a few hours and now I'm cool as a cucumber. Very quiet and looks great in our den. Only releases a lot of air on average.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So far so good

Easy to install on ceiling fans

Finally a simple quality fan WITHOUT remote control. If you've ever installed a new style remote control, you'll never want to do this again. Calm, balanced. The kit did NOT come with a long bottom bar so I had to reuse the one from the fan I took out. But even after 25 years, HUNTER parts are still interchangeable. Great brand and quality.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Works great and no noise except moving air noise

I just installed it. It took about an hour not counting the disassembly of the old one. The instructions are clear and concise and all I used was a Phillips screwdriver, pliers, wire strippers and a drill to drive the bracket screws deep into the wooden beam. Works great, no noise other than the sound of moving air.

Pros
  • Same as everything so far
Cons
  • Everything is great

Installation was easy and they are surprisingly light compared to .

I bought three of these to replace three 20 year old fans that were being used outside on the covered patio. Installation was easy and they are surprisingly light compared to the 'antiques' they replaced. They appear to be tinted brown rather than dull bronze. They are quiet and run very smoothly.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Obsolete

Nice looking fan

We just renovated the living room and I ordered two of these fans. My contractor was very impressed. I have a darker side showing our hardwood floor which is a maple floor (bronze colored) and the floor is in the form of darker spots on it. The fans were the finishing touch! They're silent, you don't even know they're on. I didn't have any remotes with me, but our switches control the fans, so it doesn't matter. I love her!

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Hunter fans are a good buy

After 5 months we finally installed our Hunter fan. I called an electrician to find out how to replace an overhead light with a fan. FYI, the site was 15 feet off the ground and needed to install an electric fan box without tearing the drywall. We have the 533XX (52") and the airflow is great. We have a sloping ceiling (400SF) in our room, we installed it and really noticed a difference in comfort in the room.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Robust construction, very quiet, excellent airflow.

Fairly reliable and inexpensive ceiling fan. It comes with everything you need (except tools) and the instructions are easy. The fan blades are very light and seem to scratch easily, but if you're careful when assembling them, you'll be fine. Light blades mean the fan is more efficient, so I make that tradeoff. During operation, the engine runs silently. The fan produces very little noise at high frequencies while releasing a large amount of air. It's advertised on the box as 5000 cfm and 62…

  • Nice looks

Non self balancing Best lighting and ceiling fans

I bought 2 of these for my 18ft cathedral ceiling even though they were mounted on a ridge and not pitched. I extended them with 2 foot poles. Only a professional can balance them. They are not self-balancing, and the knife set properties (clamps that hold the blades) are poor and really unacceptable. Both fans fluctuated heavily and rotated counter-clockwise. Forget the fan balance kit. The problem is that iron cutting sets are completely out of spec. It took me hours to measure the angles…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Nothing here
