🌀 Hunter Fan Company 59263 Cassius 52 Inch Ceiling Fan: 3 Blade, 3 Speed, Indoor/Outdoor, Light Stripe, Pull Chain Control, Fresh White Finish Review

I have installed two of these fans in my shop and am very satisfied. The quality and packaging of the fan is definitely evident (unlike the oversized white-labeled fans I've installed), and all of the hardware feels solid and has a nice finish. The blades came relatively balanced from the factory and mine needed little to no additional balancing. Installation was easy and I had no problems. medium-sized, quiet and smooth-running. For value for money this is a good result and they get 5 stars.

I've had these fans for a few years and rarely use them as I travel for work. The rivets started falling out and the floor in my living room. Didn't realize they were coming from two ceiling fans until a fan blade flew across the room while the fan was running. If someone sat on the couch, they could hurt themselves very badly. The three chrome nuts and bolts holding the blades together were defective. The bolt was too short to properly engage the nut. Called customer service which was just as awful as the wait. In order to ship replacement units (probably less than $2 on average) we had to speak to three different representatives and make two separate calls. They requested photos of the fan from all angles, as well as a picture of the sticker on the fan and a copy of the proof of purchase so they could review the…

Arrived quickly, all parts well packed and boxed. Instructions are simple, assembly is not difficult. Includes wiring and adjustments to add light. No installation and balancing issues were required. Looks very good. It is possible to use a light wood shade for the fan blades. Even at high speeds, the fan is very quiet. Just the right amount of air movement. I ordered TWO of these fans and received TWO slightly different versions. Which in itself is suspicious. At first glance they are identical. The difference is in the assembly/parts. First, the hardware that attaches the blades to the fans is very poorly designed and made from inferior material, resulting in an inferior product. I purchased this Hunter Cassius ceiling fan for use on a small covered porch. I have installed several Hunter fans at home and they work well, are quiet, require no maintenance and last a very long time. This fan works great and moves the air well. I deducted one star for ease of assembly because the shorter of the two rods that came with it had too many burrs on the threads to be usable. I have ordered two replacement fans. Unfortunately I had to send both fans back because the wing screws could not be tightened. The quality control is so poor that the threads touched as soon as the blade was inserted into the blade. 4 screws out of 10 screws are enough. The second fan was no better. The old fan in my living room had 5 blades and this one only has 3 so I was worried about its cooling capacity but for some reason I think it's either moving more air volume , or moves much faster because it cools much better than the old one.
